Nice bird. My cheerleading seat in church was front row, piano side. One morning, my Pastor Don was using an illustration of a merciless bird which I knew Job had defined in Job 39:13. However, Don had confused his birds and was calling the ostrich a pelican. I hoped the illustration was short, but it was long. The poor pelican was taking a beating. The deeper south we traveled, the more we shed unnecessary clothes (then the necessary ones). Our car had no air conditioning. All four windows were open—letting in hot, steamy air.
