However, this comprehensive analytical effort did not include the external impact on developing-country exporters; it was generally believed that the impact analysis of REACH on developing countries was insufficient, and that further efforts were needed to consider its economic, social and environmental impacts in those countries.
These have been undertaken by international, multilateral and regional organizations, through bilateral assistance, and by the private sector and NGOs. However, only very few of these Chapter 1 - Environmental Requirements and Market Access 15 activities are being coordinated in terms of implementation and/or shared learning.
