They said there’s an old goat who goes by the name Tunebeard. They say he’s cranky, but he’s also a Stringmizer. He collects strings like I collect socks! ” Harper sat silent for a moment, then said “I wonder why he’s so cranky? ” “Not to worry,” answered Argyle, “you’ll just play him a song. ” Harper reluctantly agreed to go and flew over to Argyle’s shoulder. “What if he gives me a string, but he doesn’t like my music? What if I break that string too? ” Before Harper could ask another “what if,” Argyle was already bounding down the trail to Oldwood Creek.
Argyle asked. ” “Cactickle plants are small, green, and grow feathers, instead of spikes,” he explained. “I tried walkin’ through a patch and they tickled me so much that I laughed uncontrollably. His chickens were so startled by mah’ boisterous hee’in and haw’in, that they flew their coop. ” Argyle and Harper both agreed. ” asked the old Stringmizer, “it’s just west of the Feather Farm. ” Tunebeard handed Argyle the pillowcase and the two friends left, confident that they could complete the task.
